Day 5: Edit Your Social Media

Welcome to Day 5! I hope you enjoyed getting active yesterday!

Today, your challenge is to make your social media a place of inspiration.

STEP ONE:

Take 5 minutes to scroll through who you follow and remove any accounts that prompt you to feel inadequate or unworthy, even if it's on a subconscious level. 

These might be celebrity accounts where you find yourself subconsciously comparing yourself or fitness accounts that make it easy for you to compare yourself and hate on your body.

2 important notes:

  1. When we unfollow people, it's simply because we're saying "This person isn't a match for me at this point in time, but I know I can always refollow them later." We're wishing them well and not scorning or criticizing them. It's my opinion that most people truly mean well, but some ideas and messages are more or less healthful for us at any given point in time.
  2. Our long term goal is to be able to look at ANY image or message and not have it impact our impression of ourselves. But until we fully cultivate that mindset, it's helpful to make our environments as nourishing as possible.
